Running a containerized app or microservices on Docker can involve a lot of configuration. Without Docker networking, you need to configure all the port mappings for containers ahead of time. With Docker networking, you don’t need to do that, but you do need to set up and maintain a cluster store like Consul or etcd.
In this video, we'll show you how Amazon ECS and Weave Net help you avoid both of these problems. We'll demonstrate how to get up and running on Amazon ECS with simple container networking and built-in DNS-based service discovery - all with zero configuration and no external database dependencies. Last, we'll visualize what we just built by automatically constructing a live map of your application running on Amazon ECS.
