DevOps is currently ubiquitous in most software focused organizations as it promises faster delivery with consistent quality. The unfortunate by-product is that it requires more software code to achieve automation, since the underlying infrastructure has not evolved at the same pace as modern application architecture. But with Docker and Amazon ECS, there is a huge opportunity to simplify DevOps. Shippable, one of the earliest adopters of Docker, will demonstrate how Amazon ECS has allowed them to stop worrying about container management and focus on innovation.
