Intel identified a design error with their P67 & H67 chipsets this week, which has prompted some confusion as to what early adopters should do if they purchased a system or motherboard based on the Socket 1155 Sandy Bridge platform. Essentially, 4 of the 6 SATA ports that are controlled by the H67/P67 chipsets are flawed and should not be used.
We wanted to share a hardware work-around with our viewers to bypass the issue for now, and also provide some more in-depth explanation regarding this design error. We've also created a thread on our EggXpert community forums where you can find up-to-date information on how we at Newegg are helping to resolve this problem.
