Siemens PLM has an “AWS first” strategy to drive digitalization of its internal core businesses, including predictive maintenance of turbines and monitoring field devices. Steve Bashada, EVP and GM for Cloud & Data Services, Siemens PLM Software, spoke during re:Invent 2017 and announced that Siemens PLM selected AWS as the public cloud provider for their industrial IoT platform MindSphere.
