AWS provides great security and connectivity solutions for their customers. But managing your on-premises workloads separately from your AWS environment can often be challenging. Plus, users connecting to those environments usually have to go through multiple steps to get to the right resources. In this session, we explore the limitations of traditional network security, which get compounded by the move to the AWS Cloud, and why it’s time for a new approach. We explain the benefits of the Software Defined Perimeter (SDP) model: how it verifies and secures all user access to all resources, strictly limits network access, and greatly improves and simplifies AWS integration. We also discuss how SDP improves security and compliance considerations for the business, while also increasing efficiency and decreasing complexity of your cloud solutions. We explain the technical workings of the SDP architecture standard, focusing on AWS integration and migration use cases, showing how one enterprise obtained technical, business, and compliance benefits while securely migrating to the cloud.
