Our latest iPhone tip is to find out about wireless charging. This uses a technology called inductive charging. There are two standards competing, Powermat and Qi (pronounced chee) which are not compatible which each other. But with both charging will take longer compared to a wired connection. The benefit is that you will not need to make a wired connection. You will need to connect a wireless charging receiver to your iPhone which can live behind your case or you can get a case with a built in receiver. There are cases that can work with both Powermat and Qi standards.
Qi has the most pad and case options (including an Ikea nightstand and Apple future plans to build Qi into iPhones) but businesses like Starbucks at McDonalds have adopted Powermat. Which one will you pick? Let us know in the comments. And check out more iPhone tips: youtube.com/watch?v=nhswPf50mW...
