In SafeConsole an administrator can set policies such as actions triggered by the drive not connecting to the server over a period of time, password polices such as allowable and required character types, password ageing and reuse policy, policies on users’ ability to reset his or her own passwords, policies for failed login attempts, and whether the administrator would like an audit log to be kept regarding files that have been added and removed by the user.

IronKey EMS also has all of these features but also includes an option to use a policy which allows for a maximum number of unlocks without connecting to the server. For an additional fee IronKey EMS includes MacAfee Antivirus to protect the Flash drive partition from viruses and malware.

Nicolas Picard of DataLocker provides a demonstration of these features both on the administrators’ and users’ view in IronKey EMS and DataLocker SafeConsole software.

These management solutions for IronKey D300, S1000 and W700 and Kingston DT4000G2 and DTVP30 USB Flash drives provide an extra layer of security, privacy, assurance and compliance for enterprises such as health care and finance as well as government agencies.
