The session highlights some of the areas where DVLA is leveraging AWS serverless, including Vehicle Enquiry API – an area that has seen an exponential increase in vehicle enquiry service requests. Matt mentions how a combination of various AWS functions – API Gateway, AWS Lambda and AWS Cognito – helps DVLA respond to this large growth in requests in a scalable, metered and secure environment.
The session also brings to limelight some of the other AWS serverless use cases being looked at DVLA, including prototyping, customer interaction through Alexa voice service and Health Checks & House Keeping using AWS CloudWatch logs.
