Reliable service-to-service communication is the cornerstone of any distributed application. In this session we will explore what a service mesh is and how a service mesh can be deployed along-side your application to abstract away the complexity typically associated with managing request retries, dynamic routing, load balancing, encryption, authentication, and more. You will learn how to deploy a service mesh to Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, and we will discuss how a service mesh can bridge the gap between containers and serverless.
