The first step in building your VOD solution is setting up the secure AWS landing zone. In this session, learn how to deploy a preconfigured, secure AWS environment into which to migrate your data and raw video content. Then, learn how to ingest your data into AWS by leveraging Amazon S3 Transfer Acceleration, AWS Direct Connect, and AWS Storage Gateway. We also cover how to use AWS Snowball and AWS Snowmobile to migrate or transport exabyte-scale datasets into AWS.

Once you have your raw video content in the cloud, the next step is to transcode it into a format by which users can consume it. In this session, we describe how to automate this process using a combination of AWS Step Functions, AWS Lambda, and AWS Elemental MediaConvert. We also discuss the importance of metadata for cataloging and managing content within the VOD solution.
