In this episode of This Is My Architecture - amzn.to/2wwO134, Carlos Monteiro, Product Owner at VTEX, shows how they use Amazon S3 as the persistence layer for their microservices scaling to million of requests per second, and leverage Amazon S3 events to post into SQS queue for post-processing with ElasticBeanstalk workers and indexing using Elastic Search Service. To offload hits on the ElasticSearch instance they are using ElastiCache to provide a caching layer where the microservices first hit prior to query the ElasticSearch cluster.
