More than 800 million people are currently suffering from hunger - and every day 15,000 children die from the consequences of malnutrition. Welthungerhilfe is developing a mobile app to effectively fight hunger around the world - jointly supported by Munich Re, Social Impact Partners and Microsoft Germany. The Child Growth Monitor app helps to identify children's malnutrition at an early stage. In this way, children can be provided with more focused support in the future and more people in need can be helped using the same resources.

The app developed by Welthungerhilfe is run on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. In addition, the mobile application, which is currently being tested as a prototype in India, uses deep learning models from Microsoft Azure's artificial intelligence (AI) services.

If you would like to support the further development of the Child Growth Monitor, you can simply contribute to the Welthungerhilfe project: welthungerhilfe.org/child-grow...
