To tell you about what happened at the Microsoft Surface Event today in New York City, I need to take you back to what happened last December, in Hawaii.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit 2018 brought beautiful scenery, excellent company, and the debut of a chip that promised to revolutionize laptops. The Snapdragon 8cx promised to double your battery life, keep your laptop connected 24/7 no matter where you were, and make your next one thinner and lighter than ever. Right from the jump I said this would be a perfect fit for Microsoft’s Surface laptops … and today, the company finally made it so.

Today's Surface event saw the unveiling of the Microsoft Surface Pro 7, Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro X, Surface Earbuds – and (yes) finally a Surface Phone! The Surface Duo is quite a different beast entirely from its Windows X-powered sibling the Surface Neo ... but it has three things in common: a 360-degree hinge, dual displays ... and a Holidays 2020 release date.
