As one of Alphabet’s “bets,” Verily is essentially a distinct software company operating in a highly regulated industry (healthcare). Their large (250+) engineering team had significant experience with Google’s internal compute infrastructure but found compelling reasons to adopt the public Google Cloud platform instead.

Its adoption story has played out over the course of several years, culminating in a major release of its CSP product in 2020. Getting Verily to this point has created shareable best practices in cloud development and has led to the development of two products (Verily Cloud and Aditum), which are heading to our outside customers to share our internal learnings.

Learn the highs and lows of Verily’s journey, the details of its best practices, and get a peek at the two products making this possible.
