Today, Brad sits down with the CIO of BT (British Telecom), Rachel Higham, to discuss how her organization responded during quarantine to support the financial stresses facing customers, as well as the needs of first-responders who depend on their network.

They also discuss the unique nomenclature of ancient royalty, as well as how BT selects software based on the needs of the specific workers who use it. This is followed by a Teams call from a Yak and another discussion about how to create and maintain a data-driven culture.

Rachel also shares the richly detailed plan that she has used to modernize the way BT operates, as well as how she sets expectations for diversity and inclusion in her organization. She also knows a lot about British cuisine.

Other discussion topics: Obstacle course swimming, bees, tug of war, breakdancing, typing, 6G, the official Yak of Kayaking, flair bartending, toads, holes, axe throwing, Genesis, roller hockey, pumpkins, and stargazy pie.
