As the creator of the open-source virtual classroom system BigBlueButton, Blindside Networks urgently needed to scale up its offerings immediately and reliably in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In just a few months, Blindside migrated more than 2,000 servers to AWS and used AWS Auto Scaling groups to optimize performance of Amazon EC2 instances, increasing its hosting capacity by 60 times.
