We are excited to announce the new AWS Asia Pacific (Melbourne) Region is now available! The AWS Asia Pacific (Melbourne) Region consists of three Availability Zones and is our second AWS Region in Australia, joining the AWS Asia Pacific (Sydney) Region which launched in 2012.

This second AWS Region in Australia will provide customers with more options to run workloads with the benefit of higher performance, greater flexibility and availability. Data is securely stored in Australia and will serve end users with even lower latency. AWS is also committed to driving economic development in Australia by investing in infrastructure, jobs and education in the communities in which we operate in, and our Customers and Partners will have access to advanced AWS technologies to drive innovation, become more agile, and lower costs.
