AWS WAF is a web application firewall that helps protect web applications from attacks by allowing you to configure rules that allow, block, or monitor (count) web requests based on conditions that you define. AWS WAF adds support for Request Header Insertion which allows you to insert custom HTTP headers into a web request. This Request Header Insertion feature helps validate that requests made to your application were evaluated by AWS WAF and you can configure your application to process the request differently based on the presence of the header or simply log the header in your application logs for reporting and analytics.

You can get more information on this Request Header Insertion feature from our AWS WAF documentation found here: go.aws/3ZpH0Nr
