Intel® DPC++ Compatibility Tool CUDA* to SYCL Migration Walkthrough | Intel Software

An introduction on the use if the Intel® DPC++ Compatibility Tool and SYCLomatic on Windows and Linux environment. This demo will show the use of the tools plugin into Visual Studio as well as command line usage complete with JSON compilation database creation via intercept prebuild and auto-generation of a migrated makefile.

In this concise yet comprehensive walkthrough of the Intel DPC++ Compatibilty Tool and SYCLomatic functionality, the viewer will learn the easy steps to migrate code from CUDA to SYCL and take advantage of the multiarchitecture freedom and performance portability that the oneAPI specification and Unified Acceleration Foundation (UXL) provide based on the Khronos Group's open standards SYCL framework. The demo will cover two use cases:
- The first demo shows the migration of a simple project, such as a single CUDA kernel file inside Visual Studio.
- The second demo shows the migration of a slightly more complex project - such as one containing multiple CUDA kernel files - using intercept build and JSON configuration files in a Linux terminal window.
