Compilation Options and Debugging: Just-in-Time and Ahead-of-Time GPU Code with Intel Distribution for GDB*. This is the second video covering Ahead-Of-Time (AOT) and Just -In-Time (JIT) GPU offload code debug.
This quick guide and hands-on walk-through discusses build option considerations when debugging JIT and AOT compiled GPU Offload code:
Offload Compiler Options for Target Code
Passing Additional Options
Optimized Code for Host or target Applications.
Get Started Guides: Linux*: intel.ly/3WvtJox
Get Started Guides: Windows*: intel.ly/3JVirSX
Tutorials: Debug with GDB | Debug on Linux*: intel.ly/3QzsZek
Tutorials: Debug with GDB | Debug on Windows*: intel.ly/3wvDpEN
oneAPI Programming Guide: Debugging: intel.ly/44DnroY
In this video we discuss how to debug applications using SYCL--based GPU Offload when Just-In-Time or Ahead-of-Time compilation modes are used. We go into detail on different compilation build options and how they impact and interact with debugging applications that use JIT and/or AOT compilation modes combined with GPU offload. We walk through an example application and cover the debug flow in detail, enabling the developer to directly apply learnings to real-world debug scenarios.
