Introducing Intel Endpoint Management System 1.13. Learn about the latest updates and features that have been added to the Intel system: active directory group support and two factor authentication. The new two factor authentication feature allows you to enable time-based one-time password (TOTP) when using Intel EMA (Endpoint Management Assistant) accounts to manage access. By implementing this industry standard practice, you can add an extra layer of security to your account. It's important to note that this second authentication factor is only for Intel EMA managed accounts. However, Active Directory allows you to enable additional authentication factors independently. Previously, logging into the internal backup directory required managing access and permissions within Intel EMA. With the new active directory group support feature, you can now follow standard practices by adding a group to Intel EMA and controlling access in active directory. This simplifies access management and eliminates the need for managing access and permissions within Intel EMA.
