0:01:26 I am excited to finally be able to meet you this weekend in Calgary. Do you ever get any free time to explore the cities you go to for cons?
0:10:52 So I was rewatching older episodes of Mythbusters, and caught the one with Adam's old Mr Whipple commercial. It got me wondering if there were any more of those types of gems hiding out there.
0:14:08 You have a lot of tools in your shop. Are some just for show, like the M7 lathe, or that ultra precise measuring tool from Japan? BTW, a belated happy Easter to you, your family, and the tested team!
0:17:04 When was the last time you found yourself looking at a prop from a movie while thinking to yourself, “I would have made that completely differently”, and were you impressed, confused, or disappointed by the prop? If you want to share what it was specifically, what about it caused your reaction?
0:20:46 Have you ever had the weird encounter where someone thinks it’s Adam but hasn’t been too sure if it’s him or not?
0:25:11 I am curious if you are ever saddened by how some of your "passion projects" are displayed? As an example, Project Egress is at the National Air & Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center. It is on display, but it is under the escalator. Many people won't discover it unless using the restrooms.
0:27:23 Do you think good, dark, gritty Sci-fi will ever make a comeback? Movies like the original Star Wars Trilogy, Blade Runner, Outland, Alien, etc. that portrayed the future in darker vision. I'm always baffled that there isn't more gritty Sci-fi out there, I think the closest I've seen in recent years was series Altered Carbon, which I think was extremely underrated. Some series come close, but I think the creators need to rewatch that 80's Sci-fi to really grasp the genre.
0:30:48 Any advice for being a “quiet worker”? I tend to get deeply focused and I think it’s giving people the impression I don’t like them- but it’s also hard for me to hold convos and work
0:36:36 Any tips on when you quote jobs, and the client never reveals their budget. Thanks Matt
0:43:29 Did you ever have to compete with someone in making the same prop or project? IOW, someone else was assigned as well as yourself, and the best was picked?
0:48:13 Any film that u seen lately that you really liked?
0:49:35 I want to build paper sculpture art where it's a scene like a painting but 3d and made out of paper what glue should I look into?
0:51:18 Is there some 'maker-sense' you've developed – like a skill or technique that's totally gut feel or muscle memory for you now – that you find surprisingly tricky to actually explain or teach?
0:57:32 When I start a project, I have to finish it in one sitting or at least get to a "checkpoint" or I basically lose interest in picking it up again. How do you handle interrupted projects and restart?
1:01:07 It is very affirming see your approach to creating. Seeing your neurodivergence (no insult intended) and how it reflects my own makes me feel great about how I approach my projects. This helps
