iOS 9.1 Beta: iPhone 6 Plus/6 vs. iPhone 5S vs. iPhone 5 vs. iPhone 4S Speed Test!

This review is all about the iOS 9.1 Beta. Several iphones, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 +, iphone 5S, iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S were installed with the iOS 9.1 Beta with the intention of comparing the speed performance of the devices when running the OS. Let’s see which iPhone wins!

The iPhone 4S was visible to be slow and laggy with the iOS 9.1 Beta. If you use an iPhone 4S with iOS 9.1 Beta you may have to wait for things to load after you tap on an option, especially in the app store which can be somewhat irritating. But as it’s an old iPhone, this low speed performance was of course expected. 

iPhone 5 which is around 3 times faster than the iPhone 4S in terms of benchmark tests, performed quite good with the iOS 9.1 Beta but with some slowdowns in places.

When we checked the iPhone 5S performance, it performed way faster and better with the iOS 9.1 Beta. This didn’t come as a surprise as it has a quite good performance similar to the iPhone 6. Only a minor lag was seen in certain places.

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+ had a somewhat better performance with iOS 9.1 Beta than the iPhone 5S. Having larger screens also comes as an advantage in these Apple iPhones.
