iPhone 4S iOS 9 Beta 5 vs. iPhone 4 iOS 7 - App Opening Speed Test!

After the success of the previous video, we decided do comparison completely focusing on older iPhones like iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s running iOS 7.1.2 and iOS 9 Beta 5 respectively.

In our previous video we did a comparison between iPhone 6 and iPhone 4s each with iOS 9 Beta5 where we found out that the 4s lagged a lot behind. So let’s see how iPhone 4 and 4s perform side by side with an older and a newer OS.

The comparison was conducted with the same Wi-Fi connection and also with all apps closed in both devices. Most of the apps like camera, safari browser, clock showed similar speeds in opening but other applications like phone app and calendar were opened noticeably faster in iPhone 4 running iO7. iPhone 4s also struggled to a great extent in opening up the calculator application.

When looked at the time taken for the lockscreen to be displayed on wakeup, it was however found out to be identical in both the devices. Somehow it could be easily concluded that although iOS9 can be used in iPhones of the fourth generation, it would be a somewhat slower than when used in the latest Apple smartphones.
