The 2018 Mercedes G550 is $140,000 of bad dude bravado. With features like plasma-sprayed cylinder liners, spark plugs that can fire up to four times per combustion cycle, twin-turbos sitting above and inside the V8, and side pipe exhausts, it's not for the faint of heart. It also has four wheels, because you need those to get places.

And sure, maybe it's a little cramped in the interior, and it doesn't know that some people do care about steering response. It won't matter when you get in and start the ignition, as you'll soon forget your complaints about other vehicles and simply soak in the perfection that is G-Wagon. It's big, it's loud, it's in your face and it's ready for anything. It even has tremendous visibility, because when it was designed in the 1970's A-pillars were allowed to be a bit more narrow.
