Supporting Families through a Recession and Ending Homelessness in Our Community

Solid GroundΓÇÖs (solid-ground.org/Pages/Default... core beliefs are that we can build a community free from poverty, prejudice and neglect in which all members can have the skills and confidence needed to achieve their dreams. Since the end of 2008, more low income families and individuals in the Seattle area have turned to Solid Ground for support in need of basic things like housing, food, and support. Solid Ground implemented a ΓÇ£Frontline ResponseΓÇ¥ to garner more community support to be able to meet the increased need in our community over the past 2 years effectively reaching over 58,000 people in 2009 alone (an increase of 20,000 over 2008). With more support, we can do more. Solid Ground has relied on Microsoft employees to fuel our ability to stabilize our community and give everyone a chance at success.
