Sony announced both the Xperia Z and Xperia ZL at CES earlier this year. The differences between the two models, while sparse, are fairly significant. The build of the ZL feels more rugged, while the Z packs dust- and water-proofing and an all-glass back. The ZL has an IR blaster and a slightly larger battery.

The two high-end devices go toe to toe in this video and effectively prove that Sony is done playing games.
