Announced by Sony at CES in January, the Xperia Z is easily one of the most highly-anticipated smartphones so far this year. Its specifications rival those of the HTC One, DROID DNA, ZTE Grand S and essentially every other cookie-cutter 5-inch 1080p smartphone announced at CES and Mobile World Congress. It features a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset, 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage (expandable via microSD), a 13.1-megapixel rear camera, 2.2-megapixel front-facing shooter, LTE and HSPA+ connectivity and a 2,330mAh battery.

The differentiations of the Xperia Z, however, are its water and dust resistance and premium build quality.
