Unfortunately for us, many new games and apps have switched over to the free-to-play model. Users download the game for free and pay to acquire upgrades or additional bonuses. PopCap Games recently announced that the highly anticipated Plants VS Zombies 2 game will be free-to-play and exclusive to the iOS platform. Recent rumors also suggest that the free-to-play model is coming to console games. According to the rumors, users will download game demos for free and pay to unlock additional maps and characters.
