This was recorded past midnight on the 3rd, and as of 9:45 AM PST, it is still happening. The problems were duplicated in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Are you having similar problems?
Pre-orders for the highly-anticipated Verizon iPhone began this morning for existing Verizon customers. While Verizon reports that the ordering process went smoothly for most, a few Verizon customers have reported receiving error messages when attempting to order the handset.
In an interview with Reuters, Verizon spokeswoman Brenda Raney said "We are aware that some customers have received error messages and we are working through the issues with the individuals to ensure they get their order placed." She added that "the majority of customers have been able to process their orders with no problems."
iPhone pre-orders for the general public are expected to begin on February 9, with shipments and in-store pickups of the phone to happen on the 10th. The Verizon iPhone is expected to initially be available in limited quantities, making it possible for some customers to have to wait until after the 10th to receive their handset.
