Without an impending disaster, itΓÇÖs difficult to motivate people to get prepared. Yet all it takes is for a major earthquake, hurricane, terrorist attack, fire, flood, storm or even a power outage, to cripple or wipe out assets; including our most valuable asset - our people. We canΓÇÖt afford to be complacent. It is never too late to start preparing for the next earthquake, because much of the damage in earthquakes is predictable and preventable. There are certain simple steps that can go a long way in preventing future earthquake damage. Since we can't predict if and when another quake might hit Washington, we should do what we can now to prevent damage in the future.
