Ubuntu MATE 17.04 - See What's New

Ubuntu MATE 17.04 official Ubuntu flavor featuring the MATE desktop environment has been released and announced by Ubuntu MATE Developer, Martin Wimpress. This release features the latest MATE 1.18.0 desktop environment, which has been completely ported to the GTK+ 3 technologies.

Ubuntu MATE 17.04 is powered by the same updated kernel and graphics stack as Ubuntu 17.04 (latest Linux 4.10 kernel, Mesa 17.0.3 graphics stack, and X.Org Server 1.19.3 display server), introduce the Brisk Menu 0.3.5 applications menu created in collaboration with Ikey Doherty from the Solus Project and a new Ambiant-MATE Dark theme contributed by Dave from youtuber - Linux & Other Stuff

Updated several MATE Desktop 1.18 components and include Ubuntu MATE Artwork 17.04.11, MATE Dock Applet 0.77, Ubuntu MATE Welcome 17.04.11, and Ubuntu MATE Settings 17.04.7.
