If your app takes too long to load, it doesn't matter how awesome it is, or that you've got a service worker setup to ensure that subsequent loads are snappy. Users will bail. One potential way to ensure a snappy first load is to combine AMP and Progressive Web Apps. AMP dramatically improves the performance of mobile sites on the web, often to the point where their load appears to be instant.
