In episode 6, Microsoft Unboxed cohosts Sonia and Colleen dive into Microsoft’s initiatives benefiting the environment, climate change and animal conservation. Sonia tells the story of AI for Earth, a program granting cloud computing resources and funds to organizations who are making a difference in four key sustainability areas: agriculture, biodiversity, climate change and water.

She also explores the FarmBeats project and how Azure IoT Edge is used to research cow farts and global warming. Colleen discusses WildMe and Wildbook, a program using AI, cloud technology and citizen scientists to fight extinction.
