Container technology is steadily gaining traction in the industry. It's a key technology that enables organizations to take full advantage of cloud computing. Many emerging technologies such as Kubernetes, Cloud Functions, Knative, App Engine, etc. run containers as the first-class entities. This means that the infrastructure is slowly fading into the background and organizations who develop applications as containers have a wide choice of run times they can deploy to. This session breaks down the seemingly long journey to containerizing the applications into manageable smalls steps.
