This demo showcases the energy savings for low/medium/high traffic workloads that Samsung have achieved using Intel c-states in combination with Wind River Cloud Platform. Intel Processor architectural enhancements are providing novel ways to improve performance. For example, technologies such as C-states are enabling dynamic power management schemes based on performance needs and network loading. Core workload migration including full sleep mode for certain cores and focusing on the low latency “turn on.” Analysts consider c-states to be a real industry breakthrough. Intel and Samsung have collaborated to utilize the new architectural features of Xeon Gen 4 through optimized Samsung vRAN field deployed software.
