0:02:12 What movie has the most underrated banger of a soundtrack? (Not score — soundtrack)
0:06:15 You often share the inspiration you get out of books, movies, art and philosophy. Yet somehow music doesn't seem to come up a lot in your talks. Do you also draw inspiration from music for your work? What soundtracks/scores do you really love? And do you know any movies that use music or sound design in a total new way?
0:11:25 In your travels, do you ever seek out specific locations where favorite movies were filmed? If so, have any spots stood out as especially surreal or surprising?
0:13:43 What’s the weirdest movie you’ve ever seen? Mine was Eraserhead.
0:15:13 Using the recent prop store video as a lead in on old hollywood movies, do you have a favorite silver screen movie from all those years ago. Mine, Sherlock Holmes films with Basil Rathbone.
0:20:23 Being on the Ghostbusters set seemed to be emotional for you. How does it feel to have access like this to these sets? And are you ever overwhelmed
0:24:23 Outside of Star Wars what movie had practical effects that truly blew you away or made you look at some aspect of practical effects in a new way possibly did the inspire or change the way you work
0:25:05 Did you have any films that you couldn't wait to share with your kids when they got to the right age to see them?
0:26:19 One of my favorite behind the scenes areas has always been foley. What are some experiences you have had in that area, and some things you have learned about that department of movie making?
0:31:47 What is the first movie you ever watched
0:33:00 Adam, Did you watch the Oscars? And were there any surprises for you?
0:36:00 Given that Hollywood is constantly remaking films but they’re usually not as good as the original, I'm wondering: Are there any films that you think could do with updating? Personally, I'd like to see a new version of Logan's Run, but only if done right.
0:38:45 What was the one old school special effect that absolutely blew you away when you saw it on screen
0:43:40 Coming from the theatre world, is there a Shakespearean monologue from a film that stands out to you as a stellar performance in your recollection? (I need an audition monologue to perform!)
0:47:31 Are there any true stories you would love to see on screen? For me, it has to be the Battle off Samar, where a handful of small US Navy ships stopped a force of Japanese ships including the “Yamato.” (An excellent book, The Last Stand of the Tincan Sailors, tells this story magnificently).
0:56:30 If you weren't a prop master/builder, which other role in the film industry would you like to have done? I know you wanted to be an actor but was there any other BTS side of things you'd have liked to have done? For my part, I regret not continuing with lighting and rigging in high school drama productions!
