A commitment to the White House's Summer Jobs+ initiative to help employ low-income youth, SummerQAmp was launched today by former White House CTO Aneesh Chopra, musician Jon Bon Jovi, GroupMe co-founder Steve Martocci and Gilt Groupe Vice President of Quality Engineering Kevin Haggard. Helping keep the U.S. at the forefront of innovation by creating tech jobs in America, SummerQAmp aims to provide at least 1,000 QA internships at U.S. software companies for these youth during the summer of 2012.
