Eva Longoria is one of Variety's Power of Women 2011 Lifetime Impact Honorees for her work with Eva's Heroes, a non-profit organisation founded by the Desperate Housewives star in 2006, dedicated to helping those with intellectual special needs. At the event, held 23rd September, her sister Lisa offered heartfelt congratulations to Eva via Skype video call.
The annual event celebrates women in entertainment who have made noteworthy philanthropic and charitable contributions. This year Eva was honored alongside actresses Annette Bening, Lea Michele, Mary J. Blige, Olivia Wilde and DreamWorks Studios Partner and CEO Stacey Snider.
