You are about to find out how an iPhone 5, the smartphone released by Apple to the public in 2012 is going to perform with the latest iOS, iOS 9.1 Beta installed. We previously showed you a similar review on iPhone 4S. Let’s see if it’ll be the same result this time!
We first checked out the startup time of the Apple iPhone 5 iOS 9.1 Beta as seen on the video. And the startup took a couple of seconds. The second test was to check the loading time taken by the device when opening several applications. And we could clearly see that it takes a very long time to open an application just like the iPhone 4S.
We decided to spice up the experiment a little bit by comparing the app opening of iPhone 5 with another iPhone with the iOS 9.1 Beta installed, the iPhone 5S, successor to the iPhone5. The result was as expected; the iPhone 5S loaded the app store slightly faster than the iPhone 5.
When testing further, it was seen that the multitasking function is smooth in iPhone 5 without any lag. You may remember that in our videos on beta versions of iOS 9, the multitasking screen’s performance was less smooth but this has been clearly improved in the iOS 9.1 Beta. Swipe down to search apps also shows a very small lag but is better than the iPhone 4S on that aspect.
