Is It Worth Upgrading to the New MacBook AIrs?

The New MacBook Airs are quite the machines. I love them, and have grown quite fond of keeping them both around. Is it truly worth your hard earned cash, for newer internals? For starters, this video is comparing the 2012 models to the 2013 models. The 2012 model replicates the baseline model, and this is the same with the new 11" 2013 model. The 2012 13" MacBook Air is topped-out in specifications, and this is the same in our 2013 13". The 2012 11" variant features a 1.7 GHz dual-core Intel i5 Ivy Bridge chip, 4GB of RAM, Intel HD 4000 GPU, and 64GB of Flash Storage. The 2013 11" model rocks a 1.3 GHz dual-core Intel i5 Haswell chip, 4GB of RAM, Intel HD 5000 GPU, and 256GB of Flash Storage. On the other side of the spectrum, the 2012 13" variant rocks a 2.0 GHz dual-core Intel i7 Ivy Bridge chip, 8GB of RAM, Intel HD 4000 GPU, and 512GB of Flash Storage. Into the future, the 2013 13" model features a 1.7 GHz dual-core Intel i7 Haswell chip, 8GB of RAM, Intel HD 5000, and 512GB of Flash Storage. In Geekbench comparison's the newer models obviously take the lead in 1,000-1,300 points in difference. The CineBench geekbench, which tests GPU performance, reports a 5-6 frames-per-second difference. With this in mind, I'd say that the upgrade is justifiable to people who are using the MacBook Air for extensive work. If cash is not an issue, by all means, make the upgrade. But, if you're just using a computer for leisure, the 2012 model will suit you fine for a few more years. if you have a 2010-2011 model the upgrade is definitely worth it as the new GPU, and CPU chips boost performance.
