For now, this is the top of the line for AMD's Radeon R9 lineup. We can't wait until the 290X drops, but this will have to do until then. On the exterior it has the same Windforce cooler as the R9 270X, however, this has 2048 GCN Shaders, 3GB of DDR5 and pulls a modest 250W. Although it is essentially a teaked HD7970, it is hard to argue with the price point.
