Building Social Life Networks

Massive volumes of geo-spatial heterogeneous data streams generated by social media, sensor networks, internet of things, and digitalization of transactions are bringing the next generation of social networks not only to connect people with other people, but also to connect people with other people and essential life resources. We call these networks Social Life Networks (SLN) and believe that this is the right time to focus efforts to discover and develop technology and infrastructure to design and build these networks and to apply them for solving some essential human problems. A person needs to be connected to appropriate resources under the given situations. Situations in a SLN should be detected by using heterogeneous data streams. We are building a software framework for situation recognition and determining personal context to connect people to resources efficiently, effectively, and timely.
