The Kindle Fire HD 8.9" is a well-priced Android-based tablet that grants you access to Amazon's expanding library of books, music, video, and magazines. It starts at $299, and goes all the way up to $599 with 64GB of storage and LTE. The display is quite high-resolution at 1920x1200, granting it a PPI of 254, compared to around 300 PPI on the Nexus 10 (which starts at $399).
