Careem is using AWS to run their entire taxi booking app, serving millions of active users across a vast geography spanning from Morocco in the West to Pakistan in the East, covering over 50 major cities within. Using more basic services such as AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Amazon S3 and Amazon EC2 to host their mobile app, to more advanced services such as Amazon RDS for their databases and Amazon DynamoDB to store locations of drivers.
