In this talk we will explore what developers must know about machine learning to be able to explore the power of existing machine learning services in the cloud. Using data to build machine learning models can be a powerful alternative for heuristic or hand written rules. This power is not limited to unique individuals with Ph.D. Or MSc. in machine learning, statistics or computer science, but can be used successfully by component developers. We will discuss how to get started and how to think in machine learning terms when developing your next smart application.
