Nick from Newegg GameCrate takes a spin around the newly launched Google Earth VR, a free app for the HTC Vive: goo.gl/RZhwCO

Google Earth VR takes Google's massive library of map and geographical data and turns it into a fully explorable VR experience. You can travel around the world, zoom from space all the way down to street level, and even control the time of day by dragging the sun around the sky.

Currently Google Earth VR is only available on the HTC Vive, but Google is discussing support for the Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR, and other platforms.
