Tools:
• A hard drive or SSD. It’s good to pick one up that’s as big, or bigger, than your current drive.
• Small screwdriver
Step 1 – Make sure the notebook is powered off and unplugged. Make sure the notebook is powered off and unplugged. Close the notebook lid and flip the system over. Remove the battery.
Step 2 –Remove the screw that secures the hard-drive slot cover. Pull hard-drive slot cover away from the system. Using the pull tab, gently remove the hard-drive from the notebook. Remove the rubber rails and screws that secure the hard drive bracket to the hard drive. Lift the hard-drive from the bracket to remove.
Step 3 - Reassemble your notebook by follow the instructions in reverse. Attach the screws and rubber rails to the SSD and insert it into the bracket. Connect the cable and slide the drive into the slot. Screw the cover back on. Reattach the battery.
