Deploying your application on Google Kubernetes Engine sets you up for success. Whether you’re starting small with a single VM or deploying a large existing app, you can take advantage of a comprehensive set of workload primitives to run whatever you need to run, and do it your way. Kubernetes is broad enough that the workload possibilities are endless, whether you’re serving HTTP requests, need a stateful workload like a database, or running batch jobs in the background on your spare CPU cycles, and yet it’s high level enough that you don’t need to spend your time endlessly configuring the system – just declare your desired state, and let Google Kubernetes Engine take care of the rest.
We’ll talk about how to get started with developer-friendly deployment strategies, how to make the most of Kubernetes’ automated operations like health checks that keep your application running without needing manual monitoring, and conclude with strategies for configuring auto-scaling to handle growth and fluctuations in demand.
