This week Brad meets up with the CIO of Gap, Inc. -- Sally Gilligan.
Brad and Sally discuss how Gap modernized a workforce spread across the globe and the effect it had on their ability to collaborate. They also examine the effect of Gap blue jeans and cardigans on passengers riding inside a time-traveling phone booth. This will make more sense when you see it.
Sally also talks about the market factors/trends she saw which led her to begin Gap's digital transformation -- as well as what tools she used to do it.
They also look at how IT teams can communicate their successes and capitalize on them within the organization, and Sally explains how she has prioritized diversity and inclusion at Gap and how it shows up in day-to-day work.
Other discussion topics: Jeggings, mannequins, Beethoven, fashion police, Microsoft Teams, wearing clothes from other stores, folding t-shirts, and Genghis Khan.
